The cottage, in the village of Boufflers, has been completely renovated and restored. It retains many of its old features - such as exposed beams - but at the same time has modern day comforts and standards. Le Cottage : sitting area [click to enlarge]Entering the cottage, you come into a sitting/dining room with plenty of comfortable seating and a built-in log fire. There is a television with Sky Freeview, a DVD and a VCR with a selection of films.
The dining area includes a French-style open-plan kitchen with a gas cooker, microwave and other appliances. As well as a large dining table and chairs, a music centre with a CD, tape and radio is provided.Le Cottage : kitchen & dining area [click to enlarge]
Le Cottage : dining alfresco... [click to enlarge]From the main room, a door leads to the utility area where there is a sink, an ironing area and a refrigerator. Double doors lead you out onto the veranda and into the large garden, with lovely views over the countryside. The garden has a barbecue and garden furniture.
Another door from the main room opens onto a corridor which leads to the bathroom and the two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double bed - the other has a double bed and an extra single bed. Bed linen and towels are provided (supplied weekly).Le Cottage : main bedroom [click to enlarge]
Christmas 2001 at Le Cottage [click to enlarge]The bathroom has a bath, a WC, a hand basin and a separate shower cubicle. Electric radiators are fitted in all the rooms for the cooler months. A baby cot and a high chair are available on request.
